Titles
Posthumous title: King Lie

Ji Xi was the son of King An and reigned for seven years. There are very few historical records of the royal family itself. In the year when he came to the throne, Han Aihou attacked and destroyed the Zheng State and moved the capital to Xinzheng. In 370 BC, when Wei Wuhou died, the Wei State fell into civil strife due to the succession dispute. The allied forces of Han and Zhao took the opportunity to attack Wei. According to the "Warring States Period Policy", when King Lie died, all the princes came to mourn, but Qi Weiwang arrived last. The Zhou people blamed him, and Qi Weiwang became furious and cursed, "I am a mother and a maidservant." The dignity of the emperor was gone.

  1. MilitaryHan Mie Zheng

Han Aihou attacked and destroyed Zheng State and moved the capital from Yangdi to Xinzheng, the old capital of Zheng State. The Zheng State, which had been established for more than 400 years since Zheng Huangong was enfeoffed, was destroyed.

Lasting legacyThe ruins of the ancient city of Zhenghan are located in present-day Xinzheng City, Henan Province. The remains of the city wall still exist and it is a national key cultural relic protection unit.

  2. MilitaryBattle of Zhuze

When Wei Wuhou died, Prince Feng and Gong Zhongxu competed for the throne. Han and Zhao took the opportunity to attack Wei, defeated the Wei army in Zhuoze, and besieged Prince Feng. Han and Zhao had different opinions on how to deal with Wei, so they each withdrew their troops, and Feng succeeded to the throne as Wei Huiwang.

  3. DiplomacyScreaming and maidservant

According to the "Warring States Period Policy", when King Lie passed away, all the princes came to mourn, and Qi Weiwang arrived last. The Zhou Dynasty sent someone to rebuke him, and Qi Weiwang became furious and cursed, "I'm sorry, but my mother is a maidservant." This matter is not consistent with the date range of Qi Weiwang's reign, or it may be exaggerated by lobbyists.
