Ji Shu is the son of King Zhending and the younger brother of King Ai. In 441 BC, he attacked and killed his brother King Ai, who had only been on the throne for three months, and proclaimed himself king. Five months later, his younger brother Wei attacked and killed King Si again and proclaimed himself King Kao. King Si has no other deeds handed down from history except his brother-killing and being killed. The three sons of King Zhending became kings one after another within one year. This shows the fratricidal nature of the Zhou royal family.
