Wo Ding is the son of Tai Jia, and his stepfather ascended the throne. According to "Historical Records", Yi Yin died during the reign of Wo Ding and was buried in Bo. Minister Yu Dan used to instruct future generations and traced Yi Yin's deeds and wrote an article "Wo Ding", which has been lost today. According to the "Bamboo Book Annals", Yi Yin was killed as early as Tai Jia's time, which is different from this theory. After Wo Ding's death, the throne was not passed to his son, but was inherited by his younger brother Tai Geng.
