Bujiang is the son of Xie and the father of Kongjia. According to the "Bamboo Book Annals", he conquered Jiuyuan in the sixth year after taking the throne; one theory is that he reigned for fifty-nine years and gave way to his younger brother in his later years. "Historical Records" records that "Emperor Bujiang died, and his younger brother Emperor was established." After that, the throne was passed from Jin to his son Jin, and it was not returned to the hands of Bujiang's son Kongjia until Jin's death. This is a typical example of brother-in-law succession in the Xia Dynasty.

According to the "Bamboo Book Annals", Bujiang sent troops to conquer Jiuyuan in the sixth year after taking the throne. The location of Jiuyuan cannot be determined, and it is generally believed that it belongs to the tribes surrounding Xia.

  2. PoliticsPassed on to my younger brother

After Bujiang's death (some say he abdicated the throne during his lifetime), the throne was not passed to his son Kongjia, but was inherited by his younger brother Jin. After that, it was passed to Jin's son Jin, and it was not until Jin's death that Kongjia took the throne.
