Xie was the son of Mang. "Historical Records" only records his life and no deeds. According to the "Bamboo Book Annals", twenty-one years after the release, "Yi Yi, Bai Yi, Chi Yi, Xuan Yi, Feng Yi, Yang Yi" were ordered, that is, the titles were awarded to the eastern barbarians. This shows that after two generations of management by Huai and Mang, the relationship between Xia and Dongyi became stable, and the Xia king's status as co-owner was further consolidated. After Xie's death, his son Bujiang ascended the throne.
