- "Historical Records" is called Emperor Jia
Zu Jia is the son of Wu Ding and the younger brother of Zu Geng. He is called "Emperor Jia" in "Historical Records". Ancient books have completely opposite evaluations of him: "Historical Records" says that "Emperor Jia was promiscuous and the Yin Dynasty declined again", "Guoyu" says that "Emperor Jia was in chaos and died in seven generations"; "Shangshu Wuyi" said that before he came to the throne, he "used to be a villain", but after he came to the throne "he was able to benefit the common people" and lived for thirty-three years. It is said that Zu Jia here refers to Tai Jia. The inscriptions show that the sacrificial system during this period was organized and gradually formed the "Zhou Sacrifice" in which ancestors were worshiped in turn.
